The downpours that messed up most of yesterday¿s match schedule returned with a vengeance today, Tuesday. The match between Brazilian Franco Ferreiro and Keneth Carlsen from Denmark was stopped in the second set at around 14h20. Three hours of rain followed.
Wildcard Ferreiro had won the first set 6/4 and was two games down in the second.
The other Brazilian suffering in the rain was Júlio Silva, whose match was stopped as he was beating Werner Eschauer 6/5. The match between Gaston Etlis and Brian Vahaly, where the American Vahaly had the upper hand on the Argentinean 6/1, 1/2, was also suspended due to the weather.
The Event Organizers cannot yet confirm when these matches will be resumed.
